- Privacy overview
BillHalo is an Android app that helps you manage recurring commitments and money actions. BillHalo is designed to keep the information you enter on your device. It does not require an account, connect to your bank, or provide cloud sync. - Who operates BillHalo
BillHalo is operated by Digiloup. Contact details are in section 18. - Information users enter
You may enter commitment names, amounts, dates, frequencies, categories, notes, action titles, action due dates, and linked-commitment details. You may also choose app settings such as display currency, completed-action visibility, and local reminder preferences. - Information stored and processed locally
The information you enter is stored and processed locally on your device. Commitment names, amounts, dates, categories, actions, and notes are not sent to Digiloup.
BillHalo also keeps limited local reminder and Pro-entitlement state needed to provide reminders and show whether Pro is active. Reminder de-duplication records do not store commitment names, amounts, or notes. - Data BillHalo does not collect
BillHalo does not require a user account. Digiloup does not collect your commitment or action content, bank information, payment-card details, contacts, location, advertising identifiers, or behavioural analytics about your use of commitments and actions.
BillHalo does not include bank connections, cloud sync, advertising, or developer-operated analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking services. - Purposes of local processing
BillHalo processes your local information to show monthly and yearly committed amounts, upcoming charges, needs attention, money actions, local reminders, and Pro features available in the app. - Device permissions
BillHalo requests notification permission only when you choose to enable reminders on Android versions that require that permission. You can decline or later change this permission in Android system settings.
BillHalo uses Android system components for local background reminder checks. Network access is used only when communicating with Google Play for Pro purchase and entitlement services. BillHalo does not use network access to upload commitments, actions, amounts, dates, categories, or notes to Digiloup. - Local reminders and notifications
If you enable reminders, BillHalo schedules and displays reminders locally on your device. Notification permission is optional. Turning reminders off stops future reminder scheduling. Reminder notifications use information already stored on your device. - Google Play Billing and Google’s role
BillHalo offers an optional one-time Pro purchase through Google Play Billing. Google Play handles the purchase flow and processes purchase, account, and related device or service information under Google’s own policies.
BillHalo queries Google Play to check whether the Pro purchase is owned and stores a local cached Pro status. Digiloup does not receive or store your full payment-card details. A Google Play purchase may remain associated with your Google Play account and can be restored after reinstalling BillHalo, subject to Google Play’s policies. - Data sharing, disclosure, sale, and advertising
Digiloup does not sell, rent, or share your commitment names, amounts, dates, categories, actions, or notes. BillHalo does not use those details for advertising or behavioural profiling.
Google Play independently processes information needed for its billing services. This is separate from the commitment and action information that BillHalo keeps on your device. - Storage, encryption, and security limitations
BillHalo stores its main local database using SQLCipher encryption. The database passphrase is generated on the device and protected using Android Keystore wrapping.
These measures reduce exposure if local database files are accessed, but no security measure can guarantee protection on a rooted, compromised, unlocked, or malware-infected device. - Retention and deletion
Your local data remains on your device until you edit or delete it, clear BillHalo’s app storage, or uninstall the app. You can delete commitments and actions from within BillHalo. Deleting a record removes it from BillHalo’s local database; deleting a cancelled commitment also removes its saved-money history contribution. - Backup, transfer, and reinstall behaviour
BillHalo disables Android backup and excludes its app data from Android cloud backup and device-transfer extraction. Uninstalling BillHalo or clearing its app storage removes local app data and local encryption material, subject to Android and Google Play platform behaviour. Local information may not be recoverable after removal.
Reinstalling BillHalo does not restore local commitments or actions. A previously purchased Pro entitlement may be restored through Google Play if it is available for the Google Play account. - Children’s privacy
BillHalo is intended for general adult use and is not specifically directed to children under the applicable minimum age in their country. BillHalo does not operate user accounts or send commitment or action information to Digiloup’s servers. - International data processing
Digiloup does not receive your commitment or action content through BillHalo. Google Play may process billing-related information through its own services and policies, which may involve processing in locations determined by Google. - User rights and contact requests
Because BillHalo keeps your commitment and action information locally, you can review, change, or delete it in the app, clear app storage, or uninstall the app. For privacy questions about BillHalo, contact Digiloup using the details below. Questions about Google Play purchase records should be directed to Google Play. - Changes to this policy
Digiloup may update this policy when BillHalo changes. The effective date above shows when this version took effect. A revised policy will be published at the URL below. - Contact details
